Ingredients:
1 lb large scallops, patted dry
4 tbsp butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Scallops:
Pat the scallops dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This will help them sear better in the oven.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
Prepare the Breadcrumb Topping:
In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley. Stir until evenly mixed.
Assemble the Scallops:
Arrange the scallops in a single layer in a baking dish. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the scallops, making sure each scallop is coated.
Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the scallops.
Bake:
Bake the scallops for 12-15 minutes, or until they are opaque and cooked through, and the breadcrumb topping is golden and crispy.
Serve:
Remove the scallops from the oven and serve with lemon wedges for a fresh, zesty finish.
