Ingredients:

 

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.

Melt the butter and add it to the mashed bananas. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Add the sugar and egg to the banana mixture, mixing well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the sour cream and chopped nuts (if using).

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Bake for approximately 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
